Volunteer Opportunities
ACFAS taps into the talent of its members to lead the organization
into the future. Every year, the College brings in new volunteers to
provide the energy required to bring to fruition the College’s strategic
initiatives. We appreciate how valuable your time is and thank you for
considering lending your expertise to support ACFAS and our professional
community.
This work happens at the committee, task force, educational program
faculty, and regional level of the College. ACFAS committees make
decisions that advance to the strategic goals of the College and the
profession, expand our education programming and deliver important
information that members need to remain up to date in our field.
2023 Call for Volunteers.
Each fall the College
asks for volunteers to serve on its committees and task forces the
following year (approximately February to February). Watch your email in
late September/early October for this year's call for volunteers.
The
College is comprised of eleven committees and task forces. These teams
of volunteers bring the strategic plan to life by taking responsibility
for certain tactics outlined in the plan and providing guidance and
oversight for these projects created by the committees and task forces.
If you would like to volunteer, please read the ACFAS Volunteer Requirements and submit your application when they are available in the fall of each year.
Note: New committee volunteers and volunteers for Clinical Consensus Panels or Scientific Literature Review editors will be asked to provide a one-page CV.
Residents: There are limited spots on ACFAS committees for first year residents only. If you are interested, please contact Michelle Kennedy at michelle.kennedy@acfas.org.

Other Ways to Volunteer
Become a Member of ACFAS' Faculty
The ACFAS educational program committees consistently seek faculty members to help instruct the College's educational programs. The Faculty Application section offers more information on how to submit an ACFAS faculty application.
Volunteer as an Officer of an ACFAS Region
ACFAS invites all members to get involved in their local region and support the profession at the grassroots level. The nine ACFAS Regions offer the opportunity to connect with other members through local programs, meetings and events. Regions also offer scholarships and grants to students and residents. Interested in volunteering? For more information, contact the Region President in your area.
